European gas prices fell 4.3% on Tuesday after Russia said European buyers could pay for gas without violating sanctions. The payment route runs through accounts at Gazprombank with conversion to rubles, and LNG supply and warmer weather also eased pressure.
A clearer payment path reduces the risk of further Russian supply cuts, which lowers the gas price risk premium. Lower gas costs ease input pressure on fertilizer and feed processing.
