The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index fell 1.3% in the week, its biggest weekly drop since April 10, and sat near its weakest level in over a month. Traders had raised bullish dollar bets ahead of the Fed meeting, and that positioning was reported to be the most bullish since 2014 as of Tuesday.
A weaker dollar makes USD-priced grains, oilseeds and meals cheaper for non-US buyers, which can support export demand and firm futures prices.
