The Canadian dollar fell as investors bought US dollars on expectations that a Trump administration would boost the economy and lift Fed rates. The loonie dropped to 73.60 US cents, its lowest since February, before closing at 73.78.
A stronger US dollar and rising US rate expectations make US-priced feed grains and meals less competitive abroad, pressuring export demand and prices.
