Wheat, corn and soybean futures fell on the Chicago Board of Trade after Donald Trump's election win raised concern about protectionist trade policy. Corn dropped 2.2 percent, soybeans 1 percent and wheat 0.8 percent in midday trading.
Agribusiness shares such as ADM also declined.
Fears of tougher U.S. trade policy threaten export demand for the world's top corn and soybean exporter, weighing on prices. A weaker U.S. dollar could support exports and partly offset the pressure.
