South Korea's foreign exchange reserves rose by $240 million in November to $402.99 billion, according to the Bank of Korea. The increase came as the US dollar index retreated 0.2% against six major currencies, lifting the value of non-dollar holdings.
The total slightly trails the all-time high of $403 billion set in September.
A weaker dollar lifts the dollar value of non-dollar reserves and generally supports Asian currencies, with limited direct impact on feed grain prices.
