Chicago soybean futures fell after the Canadian agriculture minister said a resolution to the US-China trade dispute was unlikely. Canola prices in Chicago dropped 2.6%, and Statistics Canada projected canola area down to 19.8-21.35 million acres as the China dispute weighs on planting.
Lower canola acreage and weaker China demand tighten Canadian rapeseed supply, but the trade-dispute outlook and soybean weakness are pulling prices down for now.
