The National Biodiesel Board released a report by ABF Economics concluding the biodiesel tax credit is essential to the profitability of the US biodiesel industry. The industry supports over 65,000 jobs and $17 billion in economic activity.
The report notes that lower soybean oil prices in 2018 pushed production costs below combined diesel and RIN values.
