Strategists quoted by the Financial Times expect the US dollar to fall toward the end of 2020, reversing its record surge during the March stress. The dollar remains unusually strong a month after the peak, and large US rate cuts are seen as a drag on it.
A forecast dollar decline would support dollar-priced grains, oilseeds and meals by making them cheaper for overseas buyers. The view is a forecast rather than a new supply or demand event, so its price effect is limited.
