U.S. ethanol exports in August rose 35% to 100.7 million gallons, the largest monthly volume since March. Canada took 36% of the total, and sales to Nigeria, Colombia, and Mexico increased, while India declined.
Year-to-date exports were 10% lower than a year earlier.
Stronger ethanol export demand supports ethanol plant margins and corn grind. Weaker DDGS sales are a modest bearish factor for feed-ingredient prices.
