A USDA report projected US corn inventories rising by 250 million bushels for 2021/22, above market expectations, and soybeans also retreated on better planting weather in the US Midwest.
A larger projected US carryout and competition from Argentina, Brazil and Ukraine point to weaker US corn and soybean prices, though dry Brazilian weather could limit the decline.
