Chicago grain and soybean futures fell on Monday after favourable rains in the US Farm Belt, with Iowa and Minnesota crops benefiting. Traders also assessed disruptions to US crop exports from Hurricane Ida, and Cargill said Ida damaged a Louisiana terminal.
The USDA rated 60% of the corn crop good to excellent.
Improved moisture and harvest-related supply expectations weigh on corn and soybean prices, while Ida-related export disruptions offset some of that pressure by slowing shipments.
