Satelligence commented on the leaked EU draft anti-deforestation law, which is due for adoption in December. The law would cover beef, palm oil, soy, wood, cocoa and coffee imports, and the consultation drew 1.2 million responses.
The pending rules could add supply-chain verification requirements for soy and palm oil entering the EU, a longer-term factor for vegetable oil and soymeal pricing.
