Indian bond yields were little changed after US October inflation rose to 6.2%, a 30-year high. The dollar index climbed above 95 on safe-haven demand and emerging markets sold off.
The rupee fell 0.18% to close at 74.52 per dollar.
Higher US inflation raises expectations of faster Fed tightening, which strengthens the dollar and raises the cost of dollar-priced feed imports for emerging-market buyers.
