The American Farm Bureau Federation asked the Biden administration to use the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework to expand US agricultural exports. In a statement to House Ways and Means and Senate Finance, AFBF called for binding commitments and reduced tariffs on farm goods.
It also urged building on relationships with China.
Stronger Indo-Pacific market access could support long-term US export demand for grains and oilseeds, but the statement is a policy request with no immediate price effect.
