The US dollar climbed against the yen and held firm against other majors after Fed officials said rates must keep rising, though possibly at a slower pace. The dollar index was near 107.00 after a 3.9% fall the prior week.
Markets priced an 89% chance the Fed would slow to a half-point hike in December.
A firmer dollar makes dollar-priced grains, oilseeds and feed ingredients more expensive for non-US buyers, which can weigh on export demand. The rebound follows the sharp fall triggered by inflation data.
