India's Press Information Bureau said reports of DAP shortages in Punjab are misleading, citing supply of 92,000 MT of DAP to the state in October and current stocks of about 90,000 MT. It said the government will dispatch another 50,000 MT of DAP in early November and that retail fertilizer prices remain fixed at Rs 1350 per 50 kg bag.
Government assurances of adequate DAP supply and fixed retail prices limit near-term upside for Indian phosphate import prices, though tight import flows remain a concern.
