An industry expert said palm oil demand from India and China is expected to rise in the coming months. Malaysian prices had gained nearly 20% last year but fell about 12% so far this year.
The expert said recent corrections give large buyers attractive entry points.
Expected restocking by the two largest importers would support palm oil prices after the earlier correction. Buying interest could also firm prices for competing vegetable oils.
