ISTA Mielke reports that bullish vegetable oil supply and demand have partly offset bearish effects of larger European new-crop rapeseed supplies in July. Nearby European rapeseed prices were up 4% in US dollar terms year on year.
OIL WORLD raised its 2025 EU rapeseed crop forecast to 20.0 million tonnes, with much of the increase from Romania.
A larger EU crop adds to rapeseed and meal supply, which is bearish for oilseed meal. Rising US vegetable oil demand from biofuel requirements supports oil prices and, with them, rapeseed.
