Chicago soybean futures slipped on December 1 as doubts grew over whether China would reach the 12-million-tonne purchase target by year-end. CBOT wheat also fell on abundant global supplies, and Argentina and Australia raised their crop estimates.
Slow Chinese buying of US soybeans and larger South American and Australian crops weigh on prices. Any shortfall against the purchase target would add further bearish pressure.
