The IEA's quarterly Gas Market Report expects global gas demand growth to accelerate in 2026 as LNG supply expands. Global LNG supply rose nearly 7% in 2025, with most growth from new North American capacity.
The report says the supply wave is easing market pressures.
Rising LNG supply eases global gas tightness and should keep energy prices subdued, which reduces input costs for fertilizer and feed processing. Stronger demand growth partly offsets this downward pressure.
