Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto announced a state-owned entity, PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI), to oversee exports of palm oil, coal and other strategic resources. Under a two-phase plan, private exporters must transfer overseas contracts to DSI from June 1 to August 31, and from September 1 DSI would become the sole counterparty to overseas buyers.
Industry participants said they need clarity on export pricing and administration.
Centralising exports through one state counterparty could disrupt Indonesian palm oil flows and tighten available supply, which supports palm oil prices. Uncertainty over pricing and logistics adds volatility for feed-related vegetable oil buyers.

The DSI plan to transfer export contracts from 1 June threatens Indonesian export supply and creates risk of shipment disruption, which supports global palm prices.
