Ag Optimus compared USDA's September 2026 WASDE with trade estimates, finding corn yield at 178.5 bu/ac and corn carryout at 1.567 billion bushels above consensus. Soybean yield rose to 52.8 bu/ac and soybean carryout was 310 million bushels, with all six headline supply figures above estimates.
Supply figures above consensus across corn and soybeans indicate a looser balance than the trade expected, which is bearish for feed grain and meal prices.
