Argentina's Economy Minister Luis Caputo said soybean export taxes, currently 24%, will be cut monthly through 2027, reaching 21% by end-2027 and 15% by end-2028, with soy oil and meal taxes reduced proportionally. Corn export taxes, now 8.5%, will be cut quarterly to 7.5% by end-2027 and 5.5% by end-2028.
A day earlier the government had announced a wheat export tax cut.
Lower Argentine export taxes make its soy complex and corn more competitive on world markets, likely increasing export offers and pressuring soybean meal, soy oil and corn prices over the coming years.
