CBOT soybean futures closed lower on trade tensions between the US and China and fast US planting progress. China's agriculture ministry announced a feed-saving plan to cut grain use in livestock feed to about 60% and soymeal content to about 10%.
USDA confirmed private sales of 110,000 tonnes of US soybeans.
China's plan to cut soymeal inclusion reduces future meal demand from the largest importer, which is bearish for soybean meal and soybeans, while US planting progress adds supply pressure.
