The Philippines amended its Rice Tariffication Law under Republic Act 12078, effective December 25, 2024. The changes triple the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund to P30 billion, extend it to 2031, and shorten the NFA emergency reserve holding period from three months to two.
