## About

KAAPA Ethanol was founded in 2001 as a farmer owned ethanol company which began construction of its first ethanol plant in 2002.  This 40 million gallon per year plant in Minden has been the cornerstone of a business that has consistently grown since its formation.  Over the past 17 years, KAAPA has doubled the capacity of the Minden facility, bought the Elm Creek elevator, purchased interest in three other ethanol plants, and most recently bought the Ravenna facility in September 2016.  In 2017, KAAPA expanded the Ravenna facility from 90 million gallons per year to 125 million gallons per year and added additional dry feed production capacity.  Growth and expansion over the last few years has also led to a centrally located corporate office which opened in April of 2017.
