AICOSCA is a soul and voice of cottonseed processing industry in India. It is an Association of cottonseed processors spread over the length & breadth of the country. Processing machinery manufactures, leading exporter and importer of cottonseed by-products and others associated with cottonseed trade and industry are associated members of this Association. Association has recently celebrated Golden Jubilee of its establishment on completion of 50 years of glorious service to the nation. Cardinal function of AICOSCA is to propogate scientific processing of cottonseed so as to save precious cottonseed by-products like cottonseed oil (termed as Heart Oil), cotton linters (Prized item of our export) cotton hulls etc. worth about ` 5000/- cores every year. It envisages development of Indian cottonseed processing Industry on modern lines and promotes exports of cottonseed by-products. It also promotes internal trade. AICOSCA is publishing ‘MONTHLY NEWSLETTER’ containing latest information on cotton/cottonseed in India and abroad and the economic news on overall vegetable oil trade and industry. Annual report containing review of cottonseed processing industry is published every year. The AICOSCA has the distinction of preparing a 22 minutes film on Scientific Cottonseed Processing of cottonseed. The film was dubbed in regional languages like Telagu, Tamil, Gujarati, Hindi and Marathi and distributed all over the country free of charge. Publishing pamphlets on scientific processing of cottonseed, cottonseed by-products, participation in various technical seminars on cotton/cottonseed/vegetable oil, presentation of technical papers at National & international seminars are some of the other activities of AICOSCA.
