The DOE/EIA weekly retail diesel price fell 0.04 cents to $3.72 a gallon, the second straight weekly decline. Wholesale ULSD on the CME was volatile, dropping nearly 29 cents to $2.0945 after the Thanksgiving break, and was still about 44 cents below its October 20 high of $2.5923.
Retail diesel lags wholesale futures, so the wholesale ULSD decline of more than 40 cents since October points to lower freight and fuel costs for feed delivery in coming weeks.
