Indonesia's government said CPO prices fell about 24%, from US$636 to US$485 a tonne, through October 2018. It outlined supply-side measures such as a palm oil moratorium and ISPO strengthening, and demand-side measures including optimizing B20 biodiesel.
It also plans to expand the smallholder replanting program.
Expanded B20 biodiesel use and a larger replanting program would support domestic palm oil demand over time. The policies aim to restore competitiveness and firm prices from current lows.
