Argentine agribusiness closed 2019 with positive results, as the central zone avoided the drought that hit the 2017/18 crop. The 2018/19 grain harvest totalled 142 Mt, up 46% year on year, and soybean exports in the last eleven months of 2019 rose 5.8% in value while prices fell 6.7%.
Argentine soybean exports benefited from the US-China trade war.
