Reuters reports USDA forecasts record soybean demand from processors and exporters this season, driven largely by strong global livestock and poultry feed needs. USDA's chief economist flagged food price concerns if expected renewable diesel demand for crops materializes.
ADM's CEO said renewable diesel could add about 500 million pounds of soyoil demand this year.
Expected biofuel demand for soyoil competes with food and feed uses and supports soybean and soyoil prices. Higher oilseed values also raise the cost of soybean meal inputs for feed buyers.
