The National Milk Producers Federation's January 2022 dairy market report said US milk production has tightened and that the country exported a record share of its milk solids in the first 11 months of 2021. It also noted record export volumes, higher prices, weak domestic consumption and falling inventories.
Tight milk supply combined with record exports and falling inventories supports dairy product prices. Dairy feed buyers should expect firm milk and by-product pricing.
