Next Hogs and Pigs Report: March Madness or more of the same?

An economist previews the March USDA Hogs and Pigs report, expecting the market hog inventory to rise 1.1% year-over-year and farrowing intentions to increase. Winter farrowings are expected to be flat with last year.

Strong pork cutout values have supported cash hog prices.
