Indonesia set the CPO reference price at US$827.37 per metric ton for October 1-15, 2023, up US$28.54 or 3.57% from the prior period. Because the price exceeded the US$680 threshold, the export levy was set at US$85 per ton and the export fee at US$33 per ton.
A higher reference price raises Indonesian export levies and fees, which can narrow the export arbitrage and modestly support palm oil prices abroad. The effect is incremental, as the change is a routine biweekly adjustment.
