Drought Monitor data for April 4 to 11 show little change in Midwest drought intensity for a second week, and Illinois saw a slight reduction in drought acreage. An Illinois farmer says moisture is not a concern and that the loss of Ukrainian grain from the market could sharply reduce supplies and lift new-crop corn prices.
Stable moisture conditions keep the crop outlook steady, while the reduced Ukrainian export supply supports corn prices through the new crop year.
