USDA's quarterly stocks report sparked rallies in soybeans, corn and wheat. Corn stocks of 1.995 billion bushels came in about 125 million bushels below the lowest trade estimate, and soybean stocks of 523 million bushels were roughly 50 million below the trade average.
Corn stocks falling below 2 billion bushels reduces the burdensome-supply argument and supports higher futures, with the market now eyeing a return above $4 per bushel.
