Most emerging Asian currencies rose on Monday as the dollar fell to multi-year lows after weak US wage and inflation data and the Senate's failure to repeal Obamacare. The yuan firmed to its strongest midpoint in over nine months and was on track for a third monthly gain.
The Japanese yen also reached a near seven-week high.
