Credit Suisse's Asia-Pacific chief investment officer warned that the US dollar could rebound as the Fed raises rates, which the market may be underpricing. He noted that markets expect three Fed hikes this year.
He also flagged Thailand's expensive stocks and debt-funded consumption as risks.
A dollar rebound would raise the local-currency cost of dollar-priced feed imports across emerging Asia. It would also tend to weigh on US dollar-denominated commodity prices.
