New farm bill offers limited help in case of prolonged trade war

A farm bill is unlikely to offer much relief to farmers, especially soybean growers, if commodity prices stay depressed from tariffs. USTR Lighthizer warned the trade war with China could last years, and the Agriculture Secretary said the $12 billion aid package will not be repeated.
