The EPA's final Renewable Fuel Standard rule for 2019 and biomass-based diesel volume for 2020 was published in the Federal Register on December 11, 2018. The rule sets the 2019 total advanced biofuel obligation and the 2020 biomass-based diesel volume, and takes effect February 11, 2019.
Required biomass-based diesel volumes create firm demand for soybean oil and other feedstocks, which supports soybean oil prices and the crush margin that produces soybean meal.
