Ukrainian seaports shipped 832 thousand tonnes of grain in the week of March 7-13, 2020, down 46% from the prior week. Wheat shipments fell to 169 thousand tonnes and corn fell almost by half to 565 thousand tonnes, while barley rose to 97 thousand tonnes.
A sharp weekly drop in Black Sea port loadings tightens near-term export availability and slightly supports wheat and corn prices. One week's data is noisy, so the effect is modest.
