Soybean harvest in Rio Grande do Sul had reached 97% of the 5.96 million planted hectares by mid-May. Yields were uneven by region, with losses from the prolonged drought, and second-crop soybeans averaged only 2,070 kg per hectare in Ijuí.
Harvest completion confirms the drought-reduced southern output, but the change is largely already reflected in prices and does not add a major new supply shock.
