Hurricane Ida damaged more Gulf Coast grain terminals, including a second Cargill facility in Westwego, Louisiana, while power outages kept others shut. The lower Mississippi River was closed to vessel traffic with sunken barges and debris blocking the channel.
Urea barge prices from New Orleans also jumped from $450 to $552 per ton.
