Farm Press reports that world wheat production and use are both projected at records for 2020/21, with world ending stocks rising to a record 11.2 billion bushels. U.S. wheat ending stocks are falling sharply, and Russia is imposing an export tax of about 82 cents per bushel that may rise to $1.64 with a permanent formula from June 2021.
Russia's export tax and tighter U.S. stocks reduce available supply in export markets, supporting wheat prices for feed buyers even with record global output.
