Western Canadian oat bids reached $3.72 to $4.55 per bushel, at least 55 cents above last year. Canadian oat exports for the crop year were up 25 percent, with Chile now the second-largest buyer after the US.
Strong domestic and export demand, combined with lower expected oat acreage, supports prices for feed and milling oats.
