AHDB estimates UK oat availability in 2020/21 at 1.16Mt, down 4% on the prior year, with the UK crop about 45Kt smaller. Oat stocks at the end of 2020/21 are put at 164Kt, 54% higher than the previous year's low and the highest since 2013/14, because exports fell.
Higher carryout stocks from lower exports add domestic oat supply, which weighs on UK oat values and gives feed buyers more room to source.
