Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade says fertiliser prices will keep rising through the rest of 2021. The main drivers cited are container shipping costs, which have risen about fivefold year over year, and reduced Southeast Asian fertiliser output during plant maintenance.
Higher freight and reduced regional supply are lifting DAP, MAP and urea import costs, which squeezes margins for Southeast Asian feed and livestock producers.
