CBOT wheat futures fell after USDA reported US winter wheat plantings of 34.397 million acres, above the 34.255 million expected. USDA also put domestic wheat ending stocks at 628 million bushels, above the trade average, and cut South American corn and soybean estimates.
Higher-than-expected US acreage and carryout add bearish pressure on wheat, while reduced South American output supports corn and soybeans.
