The Australian agriculture department's weekly update reported heavy rainfall and flooding in northern New South Wales and south-east Queensland for the week ending 2 March 2022. Some early-sown summer crops were harvested with small losses, while later crops may have benefited from moisture.
Flooding in key sorghum and summer grain areas could trim yields and tighten feed grain supply. The impact is likely limited since much of the crop benefited from rainfall.
