Farm Futures reported that USDA cut the 2022 soybean yield by 0.7 bushels per acre to 49.8 in the October WASDE, reversing pre-report expectations of higher yields and triggering a rally in soybean futures. Wheat fell from a three-month high after USDA raised global forecasts for Russian and Brazilian crops and cut US feed and export use.
Corn was kept close to analyst estimates.
The soybean yield cut tightens supply and supports soybean prices. Larger Russian and Brazilian wheat crops and lower US wheat demand pressure wheat prices.
